About our speaker: Bettina Cassegrain 

Bettina is a multilingual business development and audit specialist at COGEP, a top 12 financial services firm and member of HLB in France.

She is focusing on connecting international businesses with a need for services in France with professionals in the fields of audit, taxation, payroll and HR in order to guarantee a tailor-made and seamless 360 degree service offering. She also assists COGEP’s own clients in finding partners all over the world.

Until recently, she served a wide range of clients and industries including manufacturing, distribution and construction as well as many charities as Head of Audit of the firm. She was instrumental in setting up COGEP’s international payroll team and the German and UK desks.

In her role as Technical Director of HLB, Bettina is responsible for the network’s quality assurance program which guarantees compliance with Forum of Firms requirements. She has developed a pragmatic approach to training and development within HLB  and leads outreach initiatives on training and quality assurance related matters in Europe, Eurasia, French-speaking Africa, Latin- and South America and the Caribbean.

She is currently the Chair of the French Federation of HLB, the Chair of HLB’s International Assurance Committee and a founder member of HLB's indirect tax and agriculture groups. Bettina represents HLB as a member of the Transnational Auditors Committee which serves as the official link between IFAC and the Forum of Firms and has been a member of the Agenda Committee of the Forum of Firms since early 2016.

Since 2012, Bettina has been a speaker at national and international conferences on audit, business development and practice management issues.

Bettina is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the Ordre des Experts Comptables as well as the Compagnie Nationale des Commissaires aux Comptes in France.
