The French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) is authorized by the American State Department's United States Information Agency (USIA) to issue the J-1 visa Certificate of Eligibility, also known as Form DS-2019 (formerly known as Form IAP-66). With this document, a French citizen or permanent resident being trained by a company in the United States can request a J-1 visa authorization at the American Consulate in Paris.

Requirements
A company willing to host a J-1 trainee through the FACC must satisfy the following criteria:
Membership in the French-American Chamber of Commerce.
If you are not yet a member you can join us by filling up an application form and enjoy all the benefits and advantages of belonging to our valuable network.
Willingness to host trainee in a full-time capacity.
Willingness to provide a stipend that is commensurate to the current U.S. market standard in a given sector, or at least the current U.S. minimum wage.
Part of the business sector (teaching facilities, non-profit organizations and government institutions are not eligible).
Sufficient structure to provide proper supervision for the trainee.
Ability to provide the trainee with an American experience in the workplace and through cultural activities.
